Move it in sections is the debut album from Ipswich beatmaker, audiophile, filmmaker, promoter and DJ The Decibel Kid. It features 11 new, unheard tracks plus the acclaimed single Garden City and will be released on CD, cassette and download on Saturday 22nd November.
The album was written and recorded this summer in between Latitude Festival, Harlequin Fayre, Camping and Holidaying on the Yorkshire Coast. Its influences range from Instrumental Hip Hop, classic Trip Hop and Jazz through to found-sound abience, clicks and loops.
The Album Trailer includes previews of four of the new tracks including Little Monkeys, which will premier in full on BBC Suffolk Introducing on Saturday 25th October with the official video going live on Monday 27th October.
An IndieGoGo campaign to fund the production of the first batch of CDs and Cassettes runs from 10th October through to 7th November. The rewards include CDs of The Decibel Kid's first release the (red) EP, previously unavailable physical A2 prints of the infamous Ipswich Zelda Map, album credits and tickets to an exclusive launch event, where the album will be played in full through the sound-system it was mastered on!
The video for Little Mokeys will be released on Monday 27th October
The IndieGoGo campaign runs from 10th October through to 9th November, with a target of just £500 to cover the costs of CDs, Cassettes, Cases, Artwork, Printing and Promotion. There are a number of rewards and treats for people who donate:
£6 - This reserves you a copy of the album on your choice of CD or Cassette, but it also gets you an Instant download, so you can get to hear the album before everyone else!
£12 - This also gets you a CD copy of my first EP (red) and an A2 print of the Ipswich Zelda Map - which has never been available to buy before
£24 - This gets you all that plus your name on the album sleeve and a ticket to the launch gig on Fri 21st Nov, where you'll be fed, watered and treated to the album in full on the sound system it was mastered on!
By visiting the IndieGoGo campaign you'll also be able to watch a video of me talking about the album (and looking terrified) for 2 minutes alongside a sneak peak of the video for Little Monkeys!
