Switch Hop's second outing of 2017 and this one is a corker

SDLR ... stapled his alias in the local music circuit from an early age, influenced by the darker side of electronic beats and technological sounds. Also being the owner of local music media label the "Downlow Movement" SDLR has kicked off 2017 as the year for events, and gigging. We've secured his first return to Ipswich from his new home of London in quite a few years and if we weren't going to be running this gig we'd be bloody well going to it! Don't take out word for it, though, check out this exclusive 20 minute preview mix that SDLR put together just for us

Deben Collective ... are Girl in a Gale (samplers and sax), aTHeNa BLue (vintage DnB with ambient keys) and MerMer (rhythmic experimentation). They play music inspired by the river that is their collective's namesake and the environment beyond - mixing improvised electronica with earth rhythms, sax, melodica, cajon, keys + loops. They will each be performing individual sets then combining their skills and instruments for a final jam.

The Decibel Kid ... is Switch Hop's resident DJ and he will be furnishing the gaps in the evening with a selection of downtempo electronica featuring the likes of Jenova 7, Mr. Moods, Tycho and Pretty Lights.

Weds 25th Jan 2017 - 7:30pm - John Peel Centre, Stowmarket

We were delighted to be part of the John Peel Centre's lineup for Independent Venue Week and the evening featured performances from Future Radio's "Next Big Thing 2016" Catnip & Claws , Ipswich/Bristol soulful beatmaker and Akai Ninja Languid and Neurotica, who lugged a stack of synths from deepest, coastal Suffolk.

Sat 3rd Dec 2016 - 7:00pm - The Smokehouse, Ipswich

Switch Hop returned to Ipswich after a two year hiatus featuring live performances of original electronica from four local artists:

DEADPOOLE an experimental multi-genre music producer & electronic musician from Ipswich who is on the up and up
NOISEFLAW who has been recording beats and melodies since 1998 and performed a set of dubbed out electro trip-hop
THE DECIBEL KID who performed a live set of downtempo inspired beats alongside live visuals
F.I.D.O. who's 40 minute long set was the epitome of the "Arty Nonsense" part of out tagline
